Three Centuries, or 174 Years and Counting

U S Kitchens and Baths (USKB) has a long and storied history.  USKB has been retailing and remodeling kitchens and bathrooms since the early 1990’s.  Until then, our firm had been wholesale-only, distributing kitchen and bathroom equipment, and appliances, since the 1930’s.  Our wholesale division remains a very strong component of the company, and the volume this division generates positions us very well with our suppliers – to your great advantage! Since 1834, and until 1988 running concurrently with our distribution of modern kitchen and bathroom equipment, Union Stove Works, Inc. was an industry-leading manufacturer of coal burning stoves.  The fifth business legally incorporated in the United States, our clientele included the Union Army, numerous American railroads, the City of New York (“a Union Stove on every rail station platform”), and numerous international clients.  We began distributing modern kitchen appliances in the 1920’s, followed by the distribution of cabinetry and related products for kitchens and bathrooms in the 1950’s.  The last coal burner rolled out of the foundry in 1988.


Three Generations, or 79 Years and Counting

U S Kitchens and Baths has been owned and managed by the Springmeyer family since 1929.  Purchased in that year by F. T Springmeyer, Jr. and then managed by Dick Springmeyer from 1946 through 2006, the company is now owned and run by Dean Springmeyer.  Dean’s background includes 30 years of kitchen design and management experience in the industry.
